Awesome program!

This was an excellent workout program! Although I do believe it focused more more on upper body size. Nevertheless, it’s good program in which I will return to again. I am now in a wardrobe crisis because all of my shirts have magically shrunk (for a good reason).

Awesome program with great results

Been through Max Size two times already and I’m loving it! Started my fitness journey about two years ago with AX-1 and AX-2, with which I built my consistency and tremendously increased my endurance and fitness levels. With Max Size i started already seeing the gains – lean muscle growth (even veins definition during training) And I am to this day building harmonious looking and aesthetically pleasing body thanks to this program . Did also MASS and Dragon bonuses, which i really enjoyed. Considering going to Max Shred to really get continuous/relaxed 8 pack definition (currently when i flex the core i have 6 pack). So all in all I would totally recommend this to anyone!

Great at changing your body

Really good at changing it up so you shock your body into mew forms. Only improvement would be to add more stabilizer muscle exercises.

Max Size

2 days into Max Size after 6 months of doing “my own thing”, still a novice and have never really been fit in shape unless you consider round a shape. I’m decently strong, at least I thought. The workout itself is straight forward. Actually doing it sucks. 5 stars for actually getting to a point where I question my existence and realizing I was staying way too comfortable the last 6 months.

Excellent program for building size or just getting back in shape

This is a great program for people who have been training for at least 6 months consistently. It definitely builds some size and also burns fat as long as you watch your diet. Only downside is that some of the workouts can run quite long as the cumulative fatigue builds, especially half way through month 2 and the concentric workouts in month 3.

Max size

I’ve been training for 17 years and have tried numerous programs and hands down athlean x programs are by far the best when it comes to what they are designed for and getting results. So glad I decided to purchase beast program and max size. Will definitely be buying more.

Incredible gains!

To preface: I am a woman. Since starting this program I have put on a *significant* amount of muscle. So much so that I get comments from random strangers asking me how much I bench and deadlift. It’s so validating and the science behind all of these workouts is proven in the results. I feel so much stronger and I’ve gotten so much bigger from this program that I had to buy all new clothes hahaha worth it!! The hardest part of this program was eating enough to feed the gains. The workouts, while occasionally repetitive per month cycle, were varied enough to keep the program still engaging and not a slog. I’ve been an athlete my whole life and have been lifting for 12 years now, but this program reallllly upped the ante on my muscle gain! I tell everyone who wants to get into lifting about Jeff and his videos on how to do moves properly to avoid injury. I cannot recommend Athlean-X enough!

Love this program!

Absolutely love this program! I have put on more lean muscle with this program than with any other. I love the jacked program and others, but I have gained very noticeable size and still stay around 11% body fat.

The program average 5 days per week with each workout clocking in between 10 minutes (for some intense conditioning work) to about 60 minutes (depending on your ability to withstand the finishers!)

Both Max/Shred and Max/Size will require equipment.  While there is a great deal of bodyweight training programmed, you will need the basics for a home gym such as some dumbbells, an adjustable bench, resistance band, pullup bar, and a barbell to complete the exercises as they are programmed.

That said, as with AX-1, exercise swaps can be made to overcome the lack of a barbell with dumbbell adaptations coming in as suitable replacements.

The Max/Size program is not designed to be fit into the existing AX-1 schedule or any other A-X workout, as it is a stand alone program with the perfect amount of volume included to achieve the goal of maximum fat loss without loss of strength or size.


There has been a dramatic shift in recent years towards heavier training being advocated for women. This is great! That said, in a rush to do so, poor programming has resulted in many women getting hurt and injured from the improper guidance on how to do that. Max/Size provides you with the safest, most structured approach to lifting heavier so you can add lean toned muscle without sacrificing femininity. The program can also be used in succession with Max/Shred to reap the benefits of both maximum fat loss and lean muscle development should you choose to do so.

The Max/Size and Max/Shred programs are not designed to be performed at the same time, as they are stand alone 12 week programs, allowing you to focus your effort on one goal at a time. That said, they were designed to build off of each other and work perfectly when done in succession!

Whether you want to focus on fat loss or lean muscle gain first, the other program will smoothly pick up where one leaves off allowing you to create your own physique over 24 weeks!

Max/Size is designed to do one thing better than any other program, build muscle.

That said, with it's strategies rooted in the science of muscle growth and ensuring the intensity in every workout is high enough to create it…Max/Size can help even the hardest of hard gainers to put on muscle. The importance of recovery is key, and often overlooked by those eager to pack on the gains. Not in Max/Size.

That is a term that is often relied on to place an artificial limit on what you can achieve with your physique. Most of the time, even the most seasoned of lifters find that they have another level of intensity that they simply have not tapped into (because it’s damn hard!).

Max/Size gives you no choice but to train in that realm…and in doing so, delivers results for anyone who dares tackle it!
