All rounder

Whether you’re trying to build muscle, burn fat or improve your athletic abilities, xero is a great program that can be done anywhere. The fact that no equipment is required is a great bonus, for it allows flexibility be it for the place where you perform it, or how you perform it (by adding some equipment you might want if you have the creativity). It is a tough but rewarding experience.

Xero not zero, but number 1

This program has been a great journey; it is exactly what I need for not having equipment or time for the gym. I can roll out of bed and get my sweat on. It’s all body weight exercises (calisthenics), and it has been challenging. I have observed superior gains in my strength and cardiovascular endurance. I began with 1 Below Xero and about to complete the Xero program. I know I can do better, so I’ll do it again and push myself harder; there are several exercises I need to work on. Overall, it has been a great program, and I highly recommend it, especially if you don’t have the means to get to equipment. Get ready for some serious fat burn. By the way, Jeff, I’ve been doing your 22-day arm gain workout, but with bands, not weights; for the first time in my life, I’m starting to get a “head” on my left bicep, not my right one yet. My favorite arm WO is the crossover hammer curl. Love that pump. I didn’t measure my arms before starting, but I think they’re around 12″ now. I just measured. I know they’ve grown because of the tightness of my shirts. I highly appreciate your stuff. I’ve been into working out (and I was also a fitness trainer several years ago) for 26 years, and your information has been incredibly insightful.

The Best Fitness at home even without hitting the gym.

Hi Jeff, this programme has changed my life in a way I look at things. It has not only got me the gains that I a so happy and proud of but also changed me mentally. It has taught me a lot. Perceivierence and dedication to name a few. And that Bible verse. He who hesitate is lost from proverbs is awesome. Hi through in some more of the Bible. And who knows some might get saved. Xero is awesome!

Xero has been a game changer for me. I didn’t know if I would like a body only exercise program but quickly fell in love with it as I didn’t need any weights or have to go to the gym and can do the exercises any where and any time saving me huge amount of time in the morning. Definitely a great program to have in the arsenal.

Great program for the road!

I spend a lot of time on the road and while I can sometimes plan gym stops along the way for weight training programs, which I prefer, Xero is great for when you just aren’t able to plan your trips around going to gyms or just don’t have access to equipment.

Ass-busting living room workouts that gave my body comp a boost

I started this program with the goal of having more definition throughout my body, as I was having some setbacks with another more basic program. These workouts were designed with every body area in mind and exposed me to dozens of movements I had never tried to do in earnest. The pacing was great for me and I was able to find a groove throughout these challenging workouts that was great for my schedule… I did find that the first day of every week would draw out past 1 hour and had to take out some sets when I was pressed for time. I also found some of the door jammers difficult to make work, as my hands would get tired a bit quickly. …I was worried about the fingertip push up challenge as well, as it was an instant requirement of 75 on that one the very first time it was introduced… as a musician it made me nervous about messing up my hands but I used a fist substitute in the other hand at certain points. …all in all I found this to be an awesome workout program that pushed me hard, and I look forward to continuing to explore the different offerings on here! …during this program, I lost around 5 pounds, was at 184 (5’11”) from prior programs now down to 179, and I noticed more definition in the chest and abs, which now are showing with a flex at any time of the day… nice to see that! Thanks for a great program!

Scalable challenge

I started the Xero program as quite much a beginner. To put it mildly, this is not the ideal starter program from a deconditioned state. It is a nice touch that there are the Below 1 and 2 Deg programs, they do help, but it was somewhat discouraging (as I imagine that it would be for anybody else) that even those might be too much for some. This is my main criticism of the program: there is quite a lot to learn before one can go about doing it while having the right amount of challenge but still not too far a goal to complete (and perhaps to be able to steer clear of potential injuries). These things are easily found online (including the AthleanX YT channel and other good sources), but having them as a compilation of detailed instructions of dos and don’ts for noobs would be nice. I myself happened to do the Perfect PPL progam found on the AX channel on YT for about a year, and its scalability got me to the level where it made sense to get to the Xero program. With all that out of the way, I love the program. I’m at a level where not all the Saturday challenges are met, but I go on, and modify or scale back exercises for practice reasons. When I’m through, I’ll begin again. And probably again. The program is enjoyable, and even when all is done sufficiently, one can scale their goals up, so it remains entertaining for a long time. More bang for your buck I guess.
