I love it

This is the first athleanx program I do and I think it worth every penny. I never get bored and it makes me challenge myself and improve a little bit every day. I feel much stronger than 3 months ago.

Amazing workout

I haven’t worked out in years leading up to this and decided to Jump back into it. I lost about 27 pounds in 3 months and starting to see a six pack. Athlean x is the real deal if you’re willing to work for it! 5 stars for sure

Slow, steady burn

The Max Shred workout will test your physical strength, conditioning, and stamina but it will test your mental toughness above all else. The workouts don’t vary a lot week by week for the first two months. The third month introduces more variety and heavier strength training. I’m giving it 4 stars mostly due to the lack of variety. The repetitive workouts may be a bit of a drag for some but that’s what makes for a great mental challenge. If you stay committed, you will succeed and feel a great sense of accomplishment. This is not my first Athlean workout but I definitely feel stronger and leaner after Max Shred. The first few weeks are mostly body weight exercises and are a great way to slowly strengthen all those small muscles to avoid injuries later. The bonus weekly Black Widow workouts will trash your pride. If you need a lot of variety to stay engaged this workout may not be for you but if you like a mental and physical toughness challenge, give this a try.

Love it

Was not sure at first when starting the program but I loved it! I like the conditioning and mobility work along with lifting. I have not done a program like this before and really enjoyed it. I can not wait to pick another program and do it.

Good for weightloss

Very high volume training program with difficult challenges and cardio workouts. I paired this with a small caloric deficit diet and lost about 3 pounds a month over the duration of the program. Some of the workouts feel monotonous and repetitive, so I found myself substituting a lot of exercises to keep things interesting and reduce wear and tear on certain muscle groups and joints. It’s mostly cardio and calisthenics, but it was nice to get back to some heavy weightlifting in the third phase. Overall very happy with Max Shred.

Awesome training

The Max Shred program is absolutely awesome. I did the program at home and it only takes 25-30 minutes. The training was challenging but doable and each week there was something different which made it refreshing. I’ve lost 6 kilos of fat and am looking better and stronger than ever!

Vulnerable

The low rating is because the very easy injuries someone who is not very above average fit can get with the black widow workouts. Specifically i got twice injuries only performing 2 different black widow workouts.

Toughest Program

Have completed several programs–Max Size, AX1, AX2, Breakout, Old School, etc. I think Shred might have been the toughest challenge for me. Great workouts for the heart and for muscle too.

50 lbs lost in 3 months

Jeff has produced plenty of good programs so my review isn’t anything new, I really committed to the program and dedicated myself to weight and fat loss. Throughout the program I feel much more athletic week after week, my abs are peaking through a bit and my endurance and stamina is highest that it’s been since high school. I have definitely lost strength throughout the program however I knew this going in. 5/5 stars thanks Jeff!

The MAX/SHRED program averages 5 days per week with each workout lasting between 10 and 50 minutes (depending on the difficulty of the workout)

Yes. You will need the basics for a home workout (dumbbells, an adjustable bench, resistance band, pull-up bar, and a barbell) to complete the exercises as programmed. However, you can swap dumbbells in for a barbell if needed.
