Best workout plan ive ever bought!
Well worth the money
As a skinny guy looking to put on muscle, I started with AX-1 as people tend to recommend. Even though it’s not strictly a muscle building program, I did put on several pounds of muscle while keeping lean. The program is definitely more about athleticism — you’ll find the movements and conditioning exercises are geared towards being athletic, not necessarily bodybuilding. I was really surprised that there’s a video of Jeff for every day of the workout, so he’s constantly there coaching you through the program which really helps get you through it. The only downside to that is that sometimes the video doesn’t match the textual instructions for that day, so you’re left to decide whether to follow the video or the written instructions. I recommend there to be a note that says to follow one or the other in that case. Also, the nutrition plan is not amazing because it tells you exactly what dishes to eat each day, so it ends up being just a guideline on what sort of meals are good to eat rather than being a plan you can stick to. Other than that, it’s a great program that builds you up and progresses each week and you will definitely see results if you stick to it.
Athlean-X is one of the best exercise programs available. I have completed multiple programs including P90X, insanity, beast, 6 week short cut to shred and many more. In my opinion the program is sustainable for a lifetime and what I like the most about it is how strong your core gets. 5 stars !!!
Renewed my love for fitness
I had a lot of concerns and anxiety about starting this program after everything I’ve been through personally over the previous 2 years. However this program as been an absolute godsend. Through the first 11 weeks of the program, I lost 31lbs, doubled the amount of pushups I could do in a set, and quadrupled the amount of pull-ups I could do in a set. Beyond that it renewed my love for fitness and working out. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to get in better shape and improve their physical fitness. Thank you to Jeff for writing and sharing such an amazing program with the world!
It’s really good for beginners and intermediates. I made some great progress with it and also really liked conditioning workouts in this program!
The change I needed
I’ve been exercising fairly consistently and following the Athlean X you tube channel for several years now, but I needed a change to keep motivated. The AX 1 program was exactly that. The conditioning and the motivation to shorten my rest time between sets was a necessary change.
Great program, could use some tweaking
Love the program, pretty straightforward. Works the whole body without having to spend hours in the gym. Tracking could be better with emphasis on progressive overload. I was not impressed with the nutrition portion. Think its very easy for someone to mess up and not get the results they’re looking for.
