is the deadlift dead

Last week I started a quick video series about the “Most Dangerous” exercises…and whether they could be made safe! I wrote about this for Men’s Fitness magazine’s November issue. First it was the “Upright Row” and now…the WORST Exercise for your back? (Let the debate begin)

Now you probably know that as a physical therapist, I preach SAFETY in all of my workouts. After all…get injured training, and you can’t work out at all (and that means ZERO results!)

deadlift proper formLook…if you take anything away from this video series, let it be this. EXERCISE IS A SCIENCE. And it’s one that demands a great deal of respect or the outcome can be far different than you’d like it to be.

Haphazardly bouncing from workout to workout, and exercise to exercise without a plan or knowing which is even best for you…is the fastest way to wind up either hurt or achieving far fewer gains than are possible.

Want to get a complete 90 day Nutrition and Workout System that does more than just guide you but puts the “science back in strength”? Then I invite you to join me on “TEAM ATHLEAN” and start training with my ATHLEAN-X Training System.

P. S. Did you know that when this exercise is done WRONG it can place up to 4600lbs of shearing force on your spine?!?

Check out this important video here

P.P.S. People ask me what the best part about being a sports medicine physical therapist is? It’s the opportunity to look at every exercise equally and judge it on it’s own merits, without bias. If it stands the test of science and biomechanics then it belongs in your program…period.

Get the complete 90 day training program that was created using this same promise here (everything you need to get results…and nothing you don’t!)
