reverse bodyweight pushup

Often times the worst situations come when you have just enough information to be dangerous. Unfortunately, muscle magazines and “experts” on forums do this almost daily and it can REALLY set back what you can achieve in your training!

Take this age old advice for instance…”If you want to balance out your physique and the tendency to have a slumped posture you’ve got to train your back more!” Sounds logical. Front muscles are tight and overdeveloped…so train the muscles on the other side.

The only problem is…IT’S ONLY HALF THE STORY!!

Why? Because they haven’t told you WHAT back exercise to do. Knowing what you know and what you’ve been told, you might think that the best solution to this problem is to start doing extra PULLUPS!

Why not? They are the king of the back exercises right? In this particular case NO! Actually in this case they won’t work AT ALL to help you achieve better balance!

And THIS is the crucial point to take away from this post. Exercise IS truly a science. Much like how medicines can have profoundly different effects if taken:

– at different times of the day

– with other medications

– in different dosages

– or on an empty stomach or not….

Exercises can act the SAME way. Take a good exercise (a great one in fact when you’re talking about the PULLUP) and do it at the wrong time or for the wrong purpose….and the intended outcome can be dramatically different than you imagined.

My question to you is…how are you supposed to take the time to sort through all the lies, contradictions and misinformation to use ONLY the stuff that works, and does so in the most direct way?

Thankfully, you don’t have to. I’ve done it for you already and it’s laid out step by step…day by day in my ATHLEAN-X TRAINING SYSTEM
